Review by hotel critic
At Le Clos Marcel, I found myself completely immersed in a serene lakeside haven, where the breathtaking views over Lake Annecy offered a perfect backdrop for both relaxation and inspiration for my photography. The stylish design of the hotel, framed in modern aesthetics, featured floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining area that opened up to an al fresco experience complemented by a menu of seasonal dishes that truly showcased local freshness—definitely a delight for my culinary explorations! Waking up to the sound of rustling leaves and enjoying my coffee on the balcony overlooking the tranquil water felt like a page out of a dream, and I couldn't resist hopping onto a paddle board with my friends to soak in the picturesque surroundings—we paddled toward Chateau de Duingt, soaking in both the scenery and the glorious afternoon sun. While the experiences were impeccable, I'd have to note that the breakfast at 18 Euros was a bit on the pricey side—though I can't deny the charm of enjoying it by the lakeside, it just felt slightly excessive. In this chic hideaway, the combination of luxury, design, and the tranquility of nature puits my soul at ease.
